Committed to ensuring that children/students between ages 3 and 21 with a suspected delay are identified, evaluated, and appropriately served in our central mountain communities.

Child Find screenings can answer many questions about your child's development and learning

Who can refer a child for a free screening? 

  • Parents and other family members
  • Preschools/Private Schools
  • Child Care Providers
  • Doctors/Nurses 
  • Community Agencies
  • Anyone who works with children or school age students

Child Find Services

  • Screening - developmental screening in all areas; speech/language, fine motor skills, gross motor coordination, learning, hearing, vision, and social adaptability
  • Educational Support - Intervention support for specific educational concerns; targeted evaluations for children who may require an Individualized Education Plan (IEP); and special education support services
  • Consultation - Information provided to parents about child development, behavior management, and community resources
  • Community Referrals - Information and referrals to community resources which provide a variety of services, including preschool programs
